Thanksgiving Week

Darren, Annie and Jonas visited us for an action-packed, fun-filled week. Poppy and Uncle Steven were able to join us mid-week, just in time to enjoy some Thanksgiving yumminess. It started off with Morgan's final soccer match, (which they lost) – but that was just a sidebar, as the team's first goal of the season erupted the sidelines : ) Throughout the week, we also took a trip to one of my favorites - the Luminarium, which happened to be in town, had an overnight stay in Horseshoe Bay (too bad it was so cold that day)!, hiked up Enchanted Rock followed by a German lunch in Fredericksburg, drank lots of beer with the siblings, caught live music at White Horse, raced slot cars, saw Christmas light displays, and drank MORE beers at ABGB. And of course we can't leave out Thanksgiving - all the prep, planning and picking up brisket from Franklin's made for a scrumptious meal! Thanks to chefs Ed and Anne for pulling off such an amazing spread complete with homemade stuffing, turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, rolls, and Annie's famous pumpkin pie (you should always make 2)! The feast was followed by the boy's introduction to Star Wars, which Jonas and Dean were into but Morgan lost interest 30 minutes in. It's just a matter of time before he turns to the dark side : ) The boys had a ton of fun playing together and entertaining each other. Thanks everyone for making the trip out and it was a lot of fun to spend time with all of you! Y'all come back now, ya hear?
