January highlights

Back to the swing of things with school and routine after the break. The boys both started basketball this month so if you're looking for us on a Saturday morning, we'll be at the Y : ) Morgan has been continuing with piano while Dean decided he wants to take a break from guitar and pick it up later when his fingers are a little stronger. In celebration of MLK day, Morgan and his class had a performance at school singing songs in both in Spanish and English. Afterwards, the PTA sponsored a "maker" event where you were given a variety of materials and challenged with building your own unique car to see how far it could travel down a ramp. Later in the month, we went to a kids art event one weekend where the boys happily did crafts and had their faces painted. The last weekend of January was so warm, we booked a last minute stay at Horseshoe Bay to enjoy the pools, hot tubs, and just spend some time together. The boys had a blast roasting marshmallows, going to the arcade and taking walks around the property. Morgan even had his first hamburger! But after a few bites, he decided he didn't like it. Oh well, at least he tried!
