Gobble Gobble in Greenville

We headed to North Carolina over Thanksgiving break, first stopping in Chapel Hill to see Darren, Annie & Jonas before heading to Nana & P-pop's in Greenville. Ed and I noticed that the boys had reached a new level of autonomy during the flight out - It was the first time they carried their own stuff and kept themselves entertained the whole time (which meant movie for mom & dad - yay!) We had a nice BBQ dinner after arriving at the airport and then went on fall hike among the changing leaves the next day with our bellies full of yummy donuts.

In Greenville, we spent time with Nana and P-pop checking out his new store location, seeing Uncle George's train set up, paying a visit to Nana and Grandaddy's new digs, playing putt-putt at Captain Jack's and of course hitting up Wasabi 88. Chad and Jennifer and the kids came up Wednesday and stayed in their tiny home parked in the driveway - that was pretty cool! It was great to see those guys and for all the cousins to play together.

On Thanksgiving, Chad fried a turkey (our first time trying one -- it was awesome) and everyone else pitched in with the sides. My mom shared her famous pumpkin pie recipe with me, so we'll see if I can do it next year : ) The kids had their own table in the kitchen while we adults scarfed down all the goodies in the dining room. It was delicious and great to be alongside family. The week went by fast but it was lots of fun. Thanks Nana and P-pop!
