Santa Was Here

Morgan was the first to awake on Christmas morning, and oddly got dressed (habit I guess?) before coming down at 7:30 to peek under the tree. He immediately ran back upstairs to wake Dean, then they excitedly woke us up with anticipation. Morgan said Santa had brought "more presents than ever before". After downing some muffins, Morgan first checked his stocking which was empty (how could I forget the stockings?????) but it was ok since there were so many under the tree. Morgan was good about reading the labels and passing out gifts. The boys got the stuff they had hoped for, plus some other fun surprises.  We pretty much spent the rest of the day playing with and setting up toys. At one point in the afternoon, Ed tried to get them out on their bikes but it was not tempting enough to part them with their new toys. Thank you Santa's helpers for making what Morgan put as his "Top 5" Christmases ; )

Friday night, we drove out the Marble Falls to check out the Walkway of Lights along the river. It was cute and the kids enjoyed it until the last 5 mins when Morgan's lack of following directions led to a spiraling meltdown and we promptly had to leave. Oh well.
