Gobble Gobble

Ed's cousin Mark, his wife Johanna, and their boys Petey and Jake were able to join us for a few days during Thanksgiving. It was good to spend the holiday with some family and our honoarary family member, Siiri. The boys enjoyed playing with their cousins and everyone helped make something for the big spread. Ed and Siiri brined the turkey which turned out delicious and 100 times better than the turkey we got from the chinese restaurant last year! Siiri brought mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (which thankfully didn't catch on fire this year!) as well as a chocolate peanut butter pie. I prepared the stuffing, green beans and rolls with my mad cooking skills and Mark even made a Filippino recipe for dinner later that night. A week later, we finally just ran out of all the leftovers. It was yummy, although I tried not to enjoy it too much in front of the boys who couldn't eat half of it. Almost done with this elimination diet, ugh! Thanks Mark and Jo for making the trip out -- it was great seeing you and hanging out. Until next time!

Also, a few days before the actual Thanksgiving, parents were invited to join their kids for a special lunch at Becker Elementary. Morgan made a cute laminated placemat that read he was thankful for his mommy and daddy ; )
