Sunday night, Ed and Siiri and I had a chance to see Temper Trap at
Stubb's backyard stage. It was an intimate venue - general admission and
not really a bad seat in the house. The night was chilly but clear and
we had fun listening to the songs we knew, like "Sweet Disposition," "Soldier On" and my favorite "Trembling Hands" as well as the ones we didn't -- just
a great band all around. The lead singer was so talented, humble, and
had a voice quality that was even better in person, so they did not
disappoint. The opening band, which was a surprise bonus to us, was
Neighbourhood who we were familiar with from our cross country drive and
many hours of listening to AltNation. After their set, Ed ran into the
lead singer Jessie at the back bar and even chatted for a few minutes.
