Yes, we're still alive.

Ok, so I've been waaaaaayyyyy behind on the blog, sorry about that. Things have been hectic, but good, and I will do my best to catch everyone up on the Pelaez adventures over the past 2 months:

First, Morgan and Dean, have been for the most part two peas in a pod, or, if not, fighting with gritting teeth... ahhh, brotherhood. (Just didn't want anyone to be fooled since I only have pictures of the good times). They started Life Ki-do together, a parent/child Martial Arts class, so Ed and I are rolling around on the ground with them. It's more of a hippy, let's-care-for-each-other kind of class rather than fighting moves, but the boys feel their bodies get stronger and think they are karate champs. They've also been getting better at riding their bikes - Morgan only needs help getting started now, and then he can make it all the way around the track by himself! Highlights from January & February also included hiking with friends, visiting the Bob Bullock Museum, camping in a fort in the playroom (which didn't last long), cooking and play dates with friends.

In February, Ed stayed with the kids so I could fly out to Asheville, NC to celebrate Darren's 40th Birthday. Darren had rented a house there and a group of 10 of us had a lot of fun touring breweries, eating good food, playing games and tooling around Asheville. It was great to spend some uninterrupted time with everyone and lots of laughs were had. Just ask Jennifer about acting out "incest" during charades : )

Shortly after I got back from Asheville, Nana came to visit us for 10 days. Unfortunately, we had 2 days of good weather before a massive cold front came through, so had to spend most of the time indoors. We did manage to go see QuiltCon 2015 at the Convention Center and had some nice mother/daughter time. We also checked out the Ladybird Wildflower Center, the Thinkery Museum, and Nana got to see the boys get their new belt in Life Ki-do. The boys had fun with their Nana playing games, making watercolors and baking muffins. We also did our share of karaoke and dance parties at night : ) Despite the cancellation of Ed and I having a weekend away (due to weather) and Nana's flight complications a-la "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", it was great to spend time together and look forward to seeing her again in the summer.

Thanks mom for coming all the way out (and Tom for letting us borrow her for so long!) Sorry the travels home were such a mess but glad you are back safe!
