Summer Chapter 2: Greenville & Corolla, North Carolina

After getting back from Costa Rica, we headed out the next morning for the longest drive yet: Atlanta to Greenville, NC. We stayed with my mom and Tom for a week that included my 36th birthday and July 4th. During our visit, we saw Great Nana and Greatdaddy, Uncle George, Aunt Wendy and even Jared was in town from Burma. The kids enjoyed Uncle George's train collection and Wendy played cello and piano for them. Dean was in awe of her talents and even played on a kid-sized cello she had. We had a get together for my birthday and yummy tiramisu. For the 4th, we had a BBQ and even Katie and Emma and Dylan were able to come up. Then it was time to prep for our beach week in Corolla in the Outer Banks.

Morgan made this sign for Greatdaddy for his upcoming birthday.

As part of the McCullough tradition, this summer was our year for all the siblings and their families to get together. This year we shared a house in Corolla, NC - all 20 of us. The house was huge, just blocks from the beach and had a nice pool that got lots of use. We played a lot of card games at night, visited the lighthouse, fed turtles, went paddle boating, rode bumper cars, go carting and celebrated Mariah's 16th birthday. The kids had a great time with their cousins and we enjoyed catching up with everyone. Thanks mom for putting the trip together and we look forward to the next one!

500 stairs later after carrying Dean, here was the view
Happy Birthday, Mariah!
