School year winding down / Summer winding up

The end of May brought Dean's graduation from Kindergarten. It was a big moment for this big boy. I told Ms. Garcia, whom I love dearly, that it almost made me want to have another kid so they could have her again as a teacher – almost. We're proud of you Dean!

With that, summer began and we had more free time to do things like skateboarding lessons for Morgan...

...as well as checking out a crazy art installation, playdates with friends and a Round Rock Express baseball game...

It was also Ed and mine's 16th wedding Anniversary. We went to an old favorite, Ruth's Chris' to see if it was as good as we remembered. And it was!!!

Also in June was an early 40th bday celebration for myself and 3 other girlfriends also turning 40. The bday couples went out for dinner, then we celebrated with close friends at a bar we rented out - it was a fun night ending in hoola hooping. Lucky for us, one of the bday girls, Olivia, is also an award-winning baker and baked personalized cakes for each of us!

Dreamscicle cake for me!
Welcome to the 40's!!!
