Petrucci Reunion!

We recently spent an evening with my UD friends Dave & Emily and their two girls Lydia and Violet. The kids had a lot of fun and it was great catching up, swapping stories and hanging out. It's just so good to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in so long! Thanks Emily & Dave for hosting us and hope it won't be another year before we see you again : )

Morgan the Ring Bearer Take I

This past weekend, Morgan was the ring bearer in Molly (our ex-nanny) and Brandon's wedding. (He will do it again in 2 weeks at our cousin Tessa's wedding). We were nervous for him but he did a great job and even sat through the whole mass! He got sooooo many compliments for how handsome he looked and how well-behaved he was -- the bridesmaids were falling all over him ; ) For as long as it's been since he's seen Molly, they picked up where they left off and he was hugging and smooching her all weekend. The wedding day was a long day for him and he pooped out by 7:30pm so Ed and I dropped him off at the hotel with cousin Grace (who was already with Dean) so Ed and I could enjoy the rest of the evening. The wedding was beautiful and Molly was stunning -- we are very excited for them both and it was great to meet their families and friends.Check him out in action:

Arrrrgggg Matey!

Spent my birthday taking the kids on a Pirate Ship in Annapolis with Rich, Jill and their family. The kids got to dress up like pirates, take a ride on a ship, hunt for buried treasure and spray water at an evil pirate. Morgan was in and out of paying attention to the whole sham while Dean was oblivious but had fun pointing at all the boats : ) Tried to have a nice dinner in downtown Annapolis afterwards but all the pirates were pretty fiesty. At least we got to gobble down some crab cakes before heading back to camp.

We had a fun day today going to the Reston Zoo. They had a tractor ride where the animals walk right up. There was also a bird sanctuary where the kids enjoyed the birds landing in their hands and feeding them. The kids had fun and even after all that, Morgan's favorite was still the bunnies : ) They both feel asleep on the ride home and then we grilled out for dinner.
